Our Birth

In 1975, Brooklyn Primary School was bursting at the seams with 1077 pupils in a school built for 400.

A new school was needed in the Eastern Suburbs and that is how Lynnwood Ridge Primary came into being.

It opened its doors to 340 children on 2nd of September 1975 and has gone from very humble beginnings to become one of the best primary schools in Pretoria.

The first acting principal at Lynnwood Ridge was Mr George Schultz.

He was succeeded by Mr B Williams, the first principal appointed to Lynnwood Ridge in February 1976.

Something Specially New

Mr N B van Graan was the next principal appointed in July 1997.

Twenty years later

Mr van Graan served for almost 20 years, retiring in December 2016.

Each of these great people has left their mark on our fine school and ensured its success.

Strength to strength

Many changes have been made over the years and our school has thrived and grown from strength to strength.

Our current principal, Mrs A Harris was appointed from January 2017.

We look forward to growing further under her expert leadership.
